Four Kinds of Mini-Lessons
  1. Planned Mini-Lessons: Select these based on demonstrated scholar needs.
  2. Impromptu Mini-Lessons: Respond to an observed need from conferencing with individuals, pairs, guided groups or whole class meetings.
  3. Review Mini-Lessons: Revisit strategies by first reviewing mini-lesson charts and then coaching pairs or groups who require additional support.
  4. Reteaching Mini-Lessons: Alternative way to teach a previously taught mini-lesson for scholars that have not generalized the strategy.
